The Teeth AGAIN????

Ya, so Adam knocked 2 teeth out when he was 3 yrs old...guess he thought it was time for another...but instead of knocking it OUT, he got tricky and just knocked it UP into his gums! Can you even BELIEVE THAT??? This is what he looked like shortly after it happened (smiling as always):

And then THIS is what he looked like the next day...oh my word (he is actually trying to smile..poor kid!):

So, the dentist says that in these cases, they prefer to be conservative since they can't put the tooth back in after they've pulled it...often it will drop back down on it's own. SO, we go back in a month to be sure everything looks ok and to see if it's coming down on it's own. We'll reassess then if need be. As for Adam, he is acting pretty much normal . He's eating ok, says it doesn't hurt...pretty surprising considering what it LOOKS like! Oh yes, and OF COURSE this happens the day Alan left to drive to Illinois for Cornerstone Festival...and my mom and brother/sis-in-law are ALL out of town too! BOOO HOOO for me...I'm crying and fussing more than Adam is about this whole thing! Ok, I'll stop now...

and it got progressively better very quick:

And then of course was nice and healed up by the time Daddy got home so I looked like I was totally overreacting...SOOOO glad I took all these pictures to prove it!
